We are TherapEase Counselling, a provider of online therapy with a mission of bringing ease to Albertans trying to access therapy and improve their mental health. We Require:
- 1+ year clinical therapy experience post-graduation using evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches
- Experience providing therapy remotely
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (Clinical specialization or designation), Counselling Psychology, or Clinical Psychology
- Must be registered and in good standing with your regulatory body (i.e. College of Alberta Psychologists, Alberta College of Social Workers, CCPA)
- Proof of Liability Insurance with additional cyber coverage
- Computer with high-quality webcam
- Headset for computer and set of headphones for phone calls
- Private, quiet working space with a closed door
- Live in Alberta and agree to provide online therapy to those living in Alberta
- Professional and ethical practice following all regulatory body requirements
- Maintenance of own client files and required documentation (e.g., notes), following the clinic procedures
- Technologically capable, including strong typing skills and adept at email correspondence (internal and to clients)
- Available to work: Ideally, a minimum of 5-10 direct client hours per week (approximately 5-10 hours/week) with option for more
Our Ideal Associate:
- Dynamic, self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently, proactively and well under pressure
- Clinical training in evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, SBFT, ACT, EFT, Gottman Method, IFS, etc.
- Skilled in the treatment of trauma
- Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate professionally and with compassion to clients with patience when dealing with challenging clients
- Confidence to share ideas and constructive criticism to help us grow
- Juggling multiple projects and to-do’s simultaneously is no problem for you — you work well under pressure, meet deadlines and keep promises
- Tech savvy (we are 100% online)
- Working autonomously comes easy to you but you also love collaborating with a talented team
- Experience using Google Drive Suite
Nice-to-Haves:
- Able to offer couples counselling using EFT/Gottman approach
- EMDR, ART, or Somatic Reprocessing training/certification
- Training in Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, or Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
- Advanced education and training in trauma-focused and mind-body modalities (i.e. EMDR, ART, Sensorimotor, Somatic Experiencing, Hakomi, etc)
- Approved provider for insurance
- Willingness to contribute to public education through articles, blogs, and resources
- Knowledge of JaneApp scheduling software is an asset
- Fluency in another language
